How to Use the Lay-Z-Spa® Hot Tub Descaler

Remove the pump from your hot tub (except UltraFit™ models where this isn’t required).

Attach the descaler to the water in/out pipes using the adaptors provided.

A 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar, or 200ml of ClearWater Scale & Stain Controller diluted in water. Purchase Clearwater 1Ltr Stain/Scale Remover

  • Leave the solution inside for 3 hours without activating heat or filter.
  • Or run the filter only for at least 30 minutes.
  • Or set to 30°C with heater on and run for 30 minutes (lid must be removed).

  • Open the drain valve and empty the liquid.
  • Detach the descaler and flush the pump with clean water for at least 2 minutes using a hose.
